\Professor Baldev Sharma worked in the Organizational Behaviour Area from 3rd October 1967 to 30th April 1975.

Prof. Sharma completed his BA from Punjab University in Chandigarh in 1959. He then went to the United States to pursue his Master's Degree from Oberlin College in 1962. Later, he pursue his PhD from the Michigan State University in 1967.

He left the Institute to take on Chair Professorship at XLRI till 1984. He was reappointed as a Professor at IIMA in 1983. Later, he worked on projects with the International Management Institute and the Shri Ram Centre for Industrial Relations & Human Resources.

Prof. Sharma has authored seven books including The Indian Industrial Worker, Not By Bread Alone and Managerial Unionism. He was an outstanding scholar in Behavioral Sciences and Industrial Relations. Prof. Sharma also coordinated a number of action research projects for several top ranking public sector companies including SAIL, IOCL, BRPL and CPCL.
