The programme is designed for mid-level and senior executives who have had very little exposure to the Finance function, but who are likely to assume P&L responsibility in the near future. It is also for those managers who think that their role requires significant commercial acumen for effective performance and have not been formally trained in the basics of finance and accounting. The programme will cover various topics in the field of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Management Control Systems, Financial Markets and Corporate Finance taking a top-down perspective. The programme also has a strategic management module to provide a broader perspective on the business context and commercial negotiations to build commercial skills.

 

Course Duration: Spread over 6 to 8 Months

 

Frequency: Once a week

 

Class Schedule: Sunday - 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

 

Mode of Delivery: Through Classes at Jaro Education, using synchronous Learning Technology platform.

On-campus modules would be conducted subject to prevailing conditions and government advisories. There would not be any refund for not holding such modules.

 

Certification: IIM Ahmedabad shall issue a Certificate of Participation (CoP) based on fulfilling the 80% minimum attendance requirement.

 

Alumni Status: There will be no alumni status given on completion of the programme.

 

Selection: Selections will be based on evaluation of individual profile & Statement of Purpose (SoP)

Participants’ Profile

Graduates with minimum 3 years of experience

The programme is targeted at executives who are currently handling or soon going to handle Profit & Loss responsibilities and financial professionals working in the finance and accounts domain

Program Objectives

The programme introduces the mid-level senior executives to the technicalities of the finance functions at length. The course shall impart a conceptual and practical understanding of accounting, managerial accounting, management control systems, financial markets and corporate finance. The content has been structured to acquaint participants with an integrated view of financial function and intends to make the participants capable of making effective business decisions based on accounting information and financial analysis.
