Doctors need to communicate with their patients better and show more empathy, mulled experts from various domains at a discussion on ‘Violence against doctors’ held at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad on Monday. The experts were discussing reasons that have led to an increase in incidents of violence against doctors across the country, posing a question about their profession. Interestingly, the report of the panel discussion will be submitted to the Indian Management Association (IMA), confirmed Professor Rajesh Chandwani, chairperson of Centre for Management of Healthcare Services of IIMA, which organised the event.
