Student Housing

Twenty-seven dormitories accommodate 740 students. The dorms have ten single rooms on each floor arranged around a stairway and a tearoom. Apart from the dormitories there are 120 flats for married students.

The International Management Development Centre is a self-contained facility that combines the functions of a guest house and a venue for courses and conferences.
Faculty Housing

Faculty Housing

As the IIMA faculty has grown, the need for accommodation has surged past the original 110 housing units of the heritage campus. The recently constructed apartment block houses mean that all faculty reside on campus.

Outdoor facilities include multiple courts for tennis, volleyball, frisbee and basketball. An expansive Football field, Cricket pitch, jogging and cycling tracks make the outdoors as impressive as the classrooms.

Health & Wellness

For routine health issues and injuries the campus community consults full-time residential doctors at IIMA’s on-campus dispensary. The dispensary provides basic treatment and referrals to specialists at city hospitals when needed.

The IIMA knows how precious time is and has set up all facilities so that no one has to run around off campus to get simple jobs done. The campus has its own bank branch and ATM, a Post Office, Courier services, an All-Needs Store and a Pharmacy
Accessibility for the Differently Abled

Accessibility for the Differently Abled

The IIMA aims to provide an enabling environment – in every sense. This has meant not only the construction of ramps and railings but high-power lighting and high contrast signage to help students with low vision. Elevators help differently-abled students use the underpass that connects the heritage and new campuses.

As a part of its community outreach programme, IIMA alongwith the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has set up a supplementary education/resource centre called Student-Mediated Initiative for Learning to Excel or SMILE for the benefit of underprivileged students living in and around Vastrapur, where the Institute is located.

Prayaas is a social initiative, being run since 2003, through which the IIMA community helps underprivileged children take their first step towards a meaningful education, a joyous childhood and a better future.

PAWSIBLE

PAWSIBLE

Pawsible is a students’ club that works for the interest of animals of IIM Ahmedabad. A quality about the IIMA community that will strike anyone is the love and compassion that the community shares for the animals of IIMA.

IIMA Restoration

This project entails conservation, restoration and repair management of Louis I Kahn buildings at the IIM Ahmedabad campus for the Vikram Sarabhai Library building, the Classroom Complex, Faculty Blocks and 18 Dormitories buildings (D1 to D18).
