Professor of Human Resources Management
Manjari Singh is a Professor in the Human Resources Management Area. She has been a member of the faculty at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad since 2000. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India, and doctorate degree in Human Resources from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, India. She has been a John Curtin Fellow of Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia.
Prof. Singh has published more than forty co-authored papers in peer-reviewed international and national journals including Human Resource Management (FT-50), Human Resource Management Review, Health Policy and Planning, Journal of Personnel Psychology, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, and Journal of Entrepreneurship. She has presented papers in reputed international and national conferences and has seventeen co-authored presentations in the Academy of Management (USA) Annual Meetings. Prof. Singh is currently in the Editorial Board of the Human Resource Management Review.
She has done consultancy projects for government and private sector organizations including the Seventh and the Sixth Central Pay Commissions. Recently she has consulted for the Second National Judicial Pay Commission.
She teaches courses related to human resource management and data analysis in the doctoral, postgraduate, and executive education programmes at IIM Ahmedabad and other institutes. She has been Faculty Chair/ Co-Chair of Executive Education Programmes, including Advanced HRM, Strategic HRM (Dubai), and Senior Management Programme (Blended Learning) Batch 11.
She has been Chairperson of the Faculty Development Programme, Committee for Managing Gender Issues, Staff Grievance Redressal Committee, and Human Resources Management Area at IIM Ahmedabad. She was the Coordinator for the IIMA Society Conference 2014 & 2015.
She was a member of the board of directors of the IIM Idea Telecom Centre of Excellence.
