Centre for Telecom Policy Studies: The Centre for Telecom Policy Studies (CTPS) has been set up at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad to conduct research to support policy formulation and its implementation in the telecom sector in India. The centre conducts policy studies aimed at critically characterizing and analyzing the structure and the functioning of the telecommunications sector in India.
An eight-member core project team of IIMA faculty, assisted by full-time associates employed by the centre, is working on the project. The project team is inter-disciplinary covering various disciplines such as economics, information technology, operations management, finance, organizational behavior, business policy, and operations research. The Centre has an advisory committee consisting of senior policy and decision-makers from the private sector, the government and academic institutes. The committee reviews and provides overall guidelines for the projects with the objective of making them relevant and useful to the policy making progress in the country.
Centre for Electronic Governance: The Centre for Electronic Governance has been set up at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad (IIMA) with the twin objectives of identifying worthwhile applications and disseminating knowledge and skills for successful implementation of electronic governance applications amongst the bureaucracy and other stake holders. The centre is an example of a successful partnership between an academic Institute and the industry. We seek other partners in moving the "proof of concept applications" developed at the centre into the realm of actual implementation.
The Centre for Digital Transformation: The Centre for Digital Transformation does cutting-edge research studying organizational dynamics related to the development, strategy, and leadership of digital innovations. Using various conceptual frameworks that integrate theories and developments in strategy, economics, information systems, and other business disciplines, the centre examines digital transformation, emphasizing a focus on:

Since the early 1970s, the Information Systems Area has contributed to the design and implementation of information systems in public and private sector organizations. The IS faculty members are innovators and international thought-leaders in the development of IS capabilities and have played a key role in India's successful digital transformation.
