The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) has been quite fortunate, as alumni and corporate houses have been extending support to the premier B-school ever since it started restoration and conservation of its campus. The latest to extend financial support to the institute are three former students - Vishwavir Ahuja (batch 1981), the managing director and CEO of RBL Bank; Raghunandan G and Aprameya R (batch 2007 and 2008) who are the co-founders of TaxiForSure.

The three have lent financial support worth Rs2.5 cr each. Ashish Nanda, director of IIMA said that Ahuja has made contribution to conserve, restore and upgrade 'class room 1' in the Heritage Campus, whereas Raghunandan and Aprameya have funded the upgradation of the state-of-the-art International Management Development Centre in IIMA's new campus.

"It is not only exciting but emotional moment for me to be able to give back to my alma mater," Ajuha said while interacting with the media. Raghunandan said that, "When we joined IIMA, we thought we can leverage IIMA brand name and we were proud to be a part of this institute. It feels great to contribute to the institute," he said. Aprameya said that IIMA has been a dream institute for him. So far, IIMA has received around Rs225 cr in last four years.
