IIMA prof's book profiles schools that educate differently
Taking serious note of the present education system that focusses only on grades, a professor of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad has written a book featuring schools that educate differently despite budgetary constraints. Professor Rajeev Sharma, presently a faculty member at the Ravi J Matthai Centre for Educational innovation at IIMA, in his book 'Not Just Grades: Schools That Educate Differently' has attempted to look beyond the famous 'rote learning' and 'rat race' tactics that schools knowingly or unknowingly are involved into. The book presents cases studies of ten schools across the country that focus on learning and giving more autonomy to teachers to implement creativity in teaching.
