IIMA's 12th PGPX batch is enriched with diversity

The 12th batch of the one year Post Graduate Program in Management for Executive (PGPX) was inaugurated (in pic) recently at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.In all 115 students have enrolled in the latest batch; these students have scored an average GMAT score of 700, in order to secure their admissions.

An official communication from the institute stated that the new batch has an average age of around 32 years, total average work-experience of 8.5 years and an average international experience of two years, making it one of the most diverse PGPX batches till date.

Till 2016-17, the PGPX intake was 90. This year however, the institute has appended an additional section to the curriculum in order to enhance the learning experience of the participants. Accordingly, 115 students have been admitted this year. “The current batch is quite diverse in terms of educational backgrounds as 25 percent of the students are non-engineers. The candidates put together have work-experience in 18 industries, across innumerable functional areas and 102 companies. There are three international participants; that apart, 25% of the batch consists of women and 57% of the batch has worked abroad before joining the programme,“ stated the note.
