Professor Ajay Nandrai Oza worked in the Economics Area from 12th July 1989 to 31st October 1995.

Prof. Oza obtained his BA, BCom and MA from Mumbai University. In 1966, he attended the London School of Economics as part of the Nuffield Foundation Fellowship. He returned to India and taught at Mumbai University. Prof. Oza completed his PhD from Mumbai University in 1986.

Prof. Oza began his career as a Tutor in Economics at St. Xavier's College in Mumbai. He was promoted to the post of Professor after which he headed the Economics Department at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai from 1972 till 1976. Prof. Oza then worked at Mumbai University as a Lecturer in General Economics till 1982. Later, he became an Assistant Professor in Industrial Economics till 1986.

Among several publications, Prof. Oza coauthored Microeconomics for Management Students. He also authored 24 journal publications and papers including, How Big is India's Business and Integrated Entrepreneurship Development Programmes: The Indian Experience.
