Shreya Sharma is currently a PhD candidate at the Ravi J Matthai Centre for Educational Innovation (RJMCEI), Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. She has completed her Bachelor’s in Commerce (Hons.) from Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi. She was awarded the gold medal for overall best academic performance during the MBA program at Jamia Millia Islamia. She is also one of the earliest recipients of the prestigious Mirae Asset Foundation (MAF) Scholarship, awarded to a select few doctoral candidates at IIM Ahmedabad. Her research interests primarily lie in the areas of bullying, victimization, mental health, and gender. Her thesis explores the role of social support in shaping a teacher’s school experiences. She uses a mixed-methods approach, including interviews, surveys, and structured-equation modelling to examine the theories behind a conceptualized model.
Her work has been accepted in top international and national conferences, like Academy of Management (AOM), American Educational Research Association (AERA), Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), Indian Academy of Management (INDAM), Centre for Public Policy (CPP), and India Public Policy Network (IPPN). She has also served as an ad-hoc reviewer for international conferences like Academy of Management (AOM) and Comparative and International Education Society (CIES). She also engages in critical analysis of the issues pertaining to social relevance and has been an active contributor for several online media portals, like IIMA CMGI Newsletter, The Probe, The Quint, and Women’s Web.
