R. Sreelekha is the first woman IPS officer in the state of Kerala, a published author with 10 books to her credit and now a successful YouTuber. She worked in various law & order posts, police administration, anti-corruption branches including CBI, headed the Intelligence Wing, Crime Branch, Kerala Prisons 7 Fire & Rescue Services. She also headed 3 PSUs during her career stretching 33 years & 5 months. She has been awarded the police medal for meritorious services, President’s medal for distinguished services & state govt’s meritorious services award other than awards from NGOs & private institutions. She is a Chevening fellow & did her fellowship at King’s College UK on Road Safety. She writes regular columns in various magazines now. At present she is a member of the International Prison World, National Human Rights & Humanitarian Federation, India & committee on prevention of suicide of children in Kerala.
