Abstract:
This talk will introduce the fundamentals of Quantum Technologies and their transformative impact on computing, communications, cybersecurity, sensing, and advanced scientific discovery. The session will highlight the global race in quantum technologies and the significant opportunity for India to create indigenous intellectual property, deep-tech startups, talent, and strategic technological capabilities.
The talk will also provide an overview of the Government of India’s National Quantum Mission (NQM), emerging state-level responses and ecosystem-building initiatives, and why quantum technologies are becoming a critical national priority. The session aims to inspire researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to actively participate in shaping India’s future in this frontier domain.
