The inauguration of the Madan Mohanka Centre of Excellence in Case Method of Learning at IIMA was held on 30th August 2025 in a hybrid format. The event included the conference “Case Method in 2025: Taking Stock and Moving Forward”, held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, which brought together faculty, scholars, and practitioners from IIMA and other leading institutes. The conference attracted more than 100 participants online and around 60 in person, providing a platform to review the current state of case method of learning and discuss its future directions.

The formal inauguration of the Centre was graced by Mr. Madan Mohanka, Founder of Tega Industries Ltd. and IIMA alumnus (PGP 1967); Prof. Saral Mukherjee, Chairperson of the Madan Mohanka Centre of Excellence in Case Method of Learning; Prof. Bharat Bhaskar, Director of IIMA; and Mr. Pankaj R. Patel, Chairperson of the IIMA Board of Governors. The event’s Chief Guest was Shri Vineet Joshi, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Prof. Srikant Datar, Dean, Harvard Business School, delivered the keynote, highlighting the enduring importance of the case method in management education, noting how it keeps faculty close to practice andstudents deeply engaged.

About 60 attendees joined in person and nearly 190 online, reflecting strong interest from the academic community and laying the groundwork for future initiatives and collaborations.
