Sumeet Rajput is an Assistant Professor in the Finance and Accounting Area at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), where he also previously served as an Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow. He holds a PhD in Finance from Deakin University and completed his Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) in Accounting at the Indian School of Business (ISB). As an empirical researcher in accounting, his primary focus centres on the role of accounting information in capital markets, the economic consequences of disclosure regulation, earnings management, corporate governance, and information intermediaries like credit rating agencies and equity analyst. His research is featured in leading international literature, including a publication in Contemporary Accounting Research (CAR). Sumeet teaches Financial Reporting and Analysis and allied subjects, bridging his empirical insights with fundamentals and practical market applications.
