Online@IIMA, launched in March 2023, has achieved a major milestone, crossing 5,00,000 learners globally. Built to extend IIM Ahmedabad’s academic excellence to a wider audience, the initiative delivers high-quality asynchronous learning through Coursera, SWAYAM, and the Institute’s own Online@IIMA platform.

Since its inception, the programme has launched 16 courses and 1 specialization spanning Leadership, Digital Transformation & AI, Supply Chain Digitization, Economic Policy, Business Analytics, Strategy, Game Theory, Future of Work, and foundational Pre-MBA modules. Today, Online@IIMA reaches learners across 196 countries, with 15% of enrollments coming from outside India, underscoring its global resonance.

Learner engagement remains a defining strength, driven by IIMA’s academic rigour and faculty- led learning that consistently anchors the programme’s quality and credibility. The programme has also been integrated into the Institute’s core academic pathways: Pre-MBA courses in Statistics, Accounting, and Quantitative Methods are now part of the PGP, PGPX, and One Year MBA Dubai curricula, supporting stronger academic preparedness. The 5-lakh milestone stands as clear evidence of Online@IIMA’s mission: extending global reach, sustaining academic excellence, and creating measurable learner impact.
