Seven teams made of 35 PGP junior and senior teams were announced winners at the valedictory function of Forum for Industry Interaction (FII) - Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA)’s Student Consulting Body. In the competition, 40 teams participated (4 PGP-2 students and 1 PGP-1 student in each team) drawing solutions for around 40 companies, NGOs that approached this consulting body with industry specific problems. Students drew solutions and presented it before experts. Winners were given Rs 60,000 per team.
FII secy Prajakta Sapte said some winning projects included smart cities, accident research, FMCG sector and a doordarshan project. “When a company approaches IIMA, we charge them a certain amount of fee. From this, we have the prize money. From the rest of the amount from this consulting fee, we develop infrastructure for institute to give back to our institute. This time, we have decided to have a video-conferencing facility for students and teachers at the institute,” she said.
