List of former full-time faculty members (as of November 1, 2021)

Dr. Kamla Chowdhry was the first faculty member to be appointed at IIMA, on July 1, 1962. Since then, over 300 full-time faculty members have worked at the Institute and have retired, resigned from service or, in the case of those who had been appointed for specified terms, left after completing their stints. A few passed away while in service. The median duration of time spent by these faculty members is ten years; over twenty spent more than thirty years at the institute. Most of them stayed on the IIMA campus along with their families and collectively contributed to its development. The former full-time faculty members (including Directors) of IIMA (as of November 1, 2021) are listed below by the Area with which they were affiliated at the time of their departure from the Institute. Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the first director of IIMA, functioned in an honorary capacity (1962-65) and was not affiliated to any Area; he is listed under 'Administration' along with the chief administrative officers who are given faculty status.
